This elegant Tuscan home was designed for a very special couple.  Having lived in Italy for part of “their” military career, they wanted to incorporate some of the features they had previously enjoyed into their new Tuscan home in the Flying Horse Golf Community.

Upon walking through the custom built steel and glass entry doors, one is greeted by a glorious nineteen foot high foyer. Gazing through the magnificent fifteen foot high windows in the great room, it is easy to become awestruck by the views of Pikes Peak and the Air Force Academy.

With over 4500 square feet of finished living area, this spacious floor plan makes entertaining a breeze.  A very large gourmet kitchen is complete with Sub Zero and Wolf appliances, Kohler sinks and faucets, custom cabinetry, a unique tile and wood floor, an adjacent cozy eating area and a large center island that just begs for family and friends’ conversation.  A formal dining room with butler’s pantry is just a few steps away.

Next, walk by the elegant circular stair case into the master suite.  Step out onto a small portion of the nearly 900 square feet of outdoor living area and once again take in the breathtaking views. Or, enter into the serene master bath featuring individual vanities, a walk-in shower and a large soaking tub. A large master closet with adjacent laundry makes life clean and convenient.

The lower level is no less dazzling with two ample sized bedrooms, a study, large family room with a wet bar and a stunning wine tower.  There’s plenty of outdoor living area on this level as well, complete with a romantic courtyard and a fireplace.

Thanks Wally and Debbie!  ENJOY!

About the Interior Designer:

“To be a successful designer you really have to listen to your clients needs and wants without letting them make mistakes.  My name is on every project so I gently guide the client taking into consideration their lifestyle and budget,” says Dynasty’s Nancy Lusk.

Working hands-on with the builder and client, Nancy and her design specialists created an eclectic look with a feeling of family history.

The Tuscan style home features a grand curving staircase, gourmet kitchen, spacious master suite and a huge entertaining area featuring a bar and an ornate iron wine cellar.  Dramatic interplays of architecture and rich furnishings express the owner’s love of family, art and travel.  Niches and built-ins display souvenirs of the owners many adventures.  Hand troweled, caramelized walls highlight a palette of rich hues in the furniture and draperies.

Taking their queue from the Italian wine country, Lusk’s design team selected inviting colors of merlot, chianti, champagne, and olive.  Though known for her opulent window treatments Nancy chose refined elegant styles that reflect the client’s exacting tastes.
